This jug was made in Australia at Diana Pottery. It is a Waltzing Matilda musical jug, designed and modelled by Mirek Smisek and Tony Vacek around 1950. Only made for a year due to the expense. 6000 were made. The music box is Swiss made and is the same as the Crown Devon (UK) musical mugs and jugs. Crown Devon was recovering from a fire at this time so Diana Pottery took advantage of this.
